AGE LIMIT

  • All players and coaches must register online for sessions in advance and check in upon arrival.
  • Purchases are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.
  • Registration closes a half hour before the scheduled end time or when the session fills.
  • Full gear is recommended.
  • Helmet, gloves and long pants are required. No shorts.
  • Youth players should be accompanied by an adult.
  • Slapshots or other hard shots are not permitted when other skaters are near the goal.
  • Full and half ice scrimmages are not permitted.
  • Small area games are permitted if they do not interfere with other skaters and are confined to one goal.
  • The Manager on Duty has full discretion to limit or prohibit any games, drills, lessons or activities which they deem unsafe or disruptive to other customers.
  • Players that disobey rules or instructions from the rink staff may be ejected from the ice and the facility without a refund.​
  • Only coaches that have been granted permission by the Hockey Department may teach private hockey lessons during Stick & Puck.
  • A private lesson consists of one coach and up to three players.
  • Group lessons with four or more players are not permitted.
  • Skaters not in a lesson have the right of way.
  • Coaches must accommodate and respect all skaters on the ice.
  • The Manager on Duty may impose additional restrictions or prohibit a lesson.
  • Lessons may not monopolize goals, pucks or space.
  • Training aids such as cones or stick handling tools must be confined to the space immediately around the coach and player.

Pickup Hockey

Pickup hockey sessions are available for players aged 15 and up as designated on the schedule.

Full gear and advanced registration are required.

  • The number of skaters may sometimes exceed 20.
  • The presence of goalies is not guaranteed in which case a hockey shooter tutor may be placed on the ice. 
  • Registration closes a half hour before the scheduled end time or when the session fills.
  • High School Pickup Hockey is for skaters age 15 to 18.
  • Lunch Hockey is for skaters age 18 and up.
  • Breakfast Hockey is for skaters age 18 and up.
  • Full gear is required. Helmets with facial protection are highly recommended.
  • Skaters should have a white jersey and a dark jersey for each session. Avoid yellow or light colors.
  • Sessions are non checking.
  • Conduct that is dangerous, reckless or disruptive may lead to an immediate ejection with no refund and a temporary or permanent suspension from Pickup Hockey events.
  • Some sessions are not suited for beginners.

Adult League

The Oakmoor Adult Hockey League provides recreational play for novice through advanced adult hockey players.

Our leagues play year-round in 10-to-12-week intervals.

Some leagues are by invite only and new players are added through a player draft held at the start of each session.

Oakmoor Adult Hockey League
  • All players must register online for each season.
  • Registrations are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.
  • Teams are capped at 13 skaters and 1 goalie.
  • Fees vary by league – Goalies are Free.
  • All players must be age 18 or older, unless otherwise approved by the league.
  • Registration closes at the time stated on the registration form or when the league/team roster fills.
  • New players may join a league at the start of each season.
  • Existing teams may be looking to add one or several players throughout the season.
  • If you have never or have not recently played in our league, please contact us to inquire about upcoming seasons and placement on a team.
  • While teams and rosters generally carry forward from season to season, teams sometimes disband, and new teams are added. 
  • Teams are created through a player draft or by captains forming new teams.
  • If you are interested in creating a team or adding a team to a league, please contact us.
  • Players must play in the league appropriate to their skill and experience. League Management reserves the right to move players to higher or lower leagues before or at any time during the season.
  • Game days and times may change based on the final team and player registrations or other schedule changes at the rink. All teams may play some games on alternate days or times to accommodate holidays or scheduling irregularities.
  • Full gear is required. Helmets with facial protection are highly recommended.
  • All leagues are non-checking.
  • Rink management may – at our sole discretion – suspend a player for a game, multiple games, a season, indefinitely or permanently if we feel that the player poses an extraordinary threat of injury to other players or officials or if the player’s conduct is excessively disruptive to league play.
  • In the event of game or season suspensions, no refunds or credits are provided to players.
  • There are no refunds or credits issued for games missed due to personal conflicts or injuries. In the event that, while playing a league game, a player sustains a serious (i.e. hospitalization required), season ending injury that is not a result of reckless play or fighting, the player may contact management to inquire about a possible credit toward future seasons.
  • Players and officials must wait until the resurfacing doors are closed before entering the ice surface.
  • NO Outside Food or Beverage Allowed on the Premises
  • NO Outside Alcohol Allowed on the Premises
  • NO Tailgating Allowed on the Premises
  • NO Glass Containers Allowed on the Premises
  • No Alcohol Allowed on the Player Benches
  • Rink management may – at our sole discretion – suspend a player for a game, multiple games, a season, indefinitely or permanently for violating any facility policy without refund or credit.
